Celebrations after torture penalties imposed

There were jubilant scenes on Wednesday in Buenos Aires when several former army officers were sentenced to life imprisonment for crimes against humanity. The crimes were committed in a torture centre in the 1976 - 1983, during the Dirty War in Argentina.
Former naval officer Alfredo Astiz, 59, was sentenced to prison for life .
Known as the "Blond Angel of Death", he was found guilty of torture, murder and forced disappearance.
Among his victims were two French nuns and the founders of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo human rights group.
