A librarian was confronted by police authorities, ticketed and threatened with arrest for carrying a sign with a political message at a public event.

The OAS & the EU must not turn a blind eye on this type of repression of dissidents!

1. Glad you made the connection. They've been doing this to dissidents since near the beginning
of Bush's stolen pResidency.

Thanks for shining the proper light on these events, Mika. There have been a lot of these situations, with very heavy handed responses for years!

Some of the early ones, a Texas car museum, with a car painted with anti-war images on it was visited by some FBI guys, and the person in charge intimidated, a woman answered the door to her apartment to discover two FBI guys there wanting to come in and find out about the anti-Bush poster she had on her wall, describing how many people Bush had put to death in Texas, etc., etc., etc. Apparently someone had "turned her in."

In Tampa, dissidents carrying anti-war signs at a rally were thrown around, then thrown in jail. You recall there were three of them, and they were all very advanced in years, hardly youngsters.

People refused admittance to rallies when politicos saw bumper stickers on their cars they did't like, people thrown out of shopping centers, off airplanes, etc. for wearing anti-Bush t-shirts, on, and on, and on....

Someone should find a way to do a thorough search for all of these things we've seen and throw them all into a book to commemorate the Bush years. Could send a copy to the Bush pResidential Liberry.

Her great crime was a sign saying "McCain=Bush." She must be with the terrorists, Mika!
