A survey done by the Public Opinion Institute for Católica University revealed that President Garcia's approval rate in the country is among all time lows.
Polls showed that 62 percent of those surveyed affirmed they did not approve of President Alan Garcia's administration.
It was reported that only 31 percent of those polled stated they approved of the work Garcia was doing.
According to Terra News, of those that disapproved of the Peruvian president's administration, 57 percent were males while 68 percent were reported to be females.
The three main reasons citizens stated they did not approve of the APRA administration were an increase in staple foods (25%), not keeping campaign promises (12%) and administering the country badly (7%).
In statements made Friday, President Garcia stated it was natural that his popularity decrease because of an increase in the cost of food.
