Someone posted earlier that we need to have a Primary challenger for Obama

They we're told that while it would be nice to have a more progressive President, we can't get such a progressive elected. First, let me say that I don't agree with putting up a primary challenger to President Obama - he will have gotten the memo following the midterms and he is politically savvy enough to know how he needs to change, and change he will. But, it got me to thinking - I know that Dean got sunk by the MSM playing that stupid ass scream over and over, but nowadays, he's a God to us progressives. I wonder if he might be a contender again, not necessarily in 2012 but in the future. What say y'all?

in 1980. The other half are never satisfied. They're not satisfied when a repuke is in the WH, and they're not satisfied with Dems either.

6. Civil Right activist were not happy with FDR

Abe Lincoln had problems with government war profiting and corruption that culminated in the Grant Administration and lots of people were not "happy" about it.

Despite signing the civil rights legislation in 1968, MLK bucked LBJ on Vietnam.

Women's right activist were not satisfied till they won. The ACLU or the Southern Poverty Law center is never happy.

Just to give you some historical perspective here. There are people in life that will never be satisfied. Jefferson, Adams, Madison, Lincoln, Roosevelt, Kennedy, LBJ, Carter, Clinton were never really happy people about the state of the world. Carter and Clinton still aren't, that is why despite their faults they still try to change it.

We are a nation of fighters, we don't "settle down" and generally that is a very good thing.

It's what the entire term, progressive implies, duh.

When people get happy, they are about to lose everything.
