Jerry Springer Anyone? Sarah Palin's daughter seeks full custody of baby
Sarah Palin's daughter seeks full custody of baby

ANCHORAGE (AP) — An Alaska judge's ruling has revealed a heated legal custody battle between Sarah Palin's daughter and the father of Palin's grandson.
A November request by 18-year-old Bristol Palin keep the proceedings closed was denied Christmas Eve. Her Nov. 3 petition for sole custody and child support also seeks a visitation schedule for Levi Johnston, the father of 1-year-old Tripp.

Bristol says her ex-fiance has exercised "sporadic visitation rights."

The 19-year-old Johnston denies in court documents that he has avoided his responsibilities. He is seeking shared custody.

Bristol is the eldest daughter of Sarah Palin, who resigned as Alaska governor in July. She announced her daughter's pregnancy days after being named the running mate of Republican presidential candidate John McCain

2. Honestly, she seems like the only classy one in this whole thing.
Seems like its a game to Levi and Sarah. I wouldnt mind Bristol having sole custody.

3. I have no idea what is really going on
but I do know that Sarah carried on a vendetta against her sister's ex-husband.

Sarah looks to me like someone who has to have total control of those around her.

9. No, she is not....Levi seems to be the only one acting with class, his beef is
when Bristol allows him to see his son she sometimes change her mind once he gets to her home. Or she does not allow him to see his child AT ALL, he is not asking for physical custody he only wants his visitation in writing because right now Bristol/Sarah is jerking him around with visiting Tripp.

He has said many times that his visitations have been sporadic even when allowed a certain amount of time usually Bristol or someone from her family comes to pick the child up much earlier than the time was allowed. He noted his frustration in August stating if Bristol does not set of a fair visitation schedule that he may have no recourse but to take his case to court but she filed less than a week after he stated he was in the process of filing for joint custody.

4. I couldn't say which one if either was the better parent
But the father deserves to have visitation privileges at the very least. My read on this is Bristol is going to win and not only get custody, but severely limit the father's visitation. We all know Bristol's mother can afford a long custody battle with good representation. I feel sorry for the kid, if anyone.

10. This is the reason why he wanted it open, he only wants his visitations in writing. nt

7. Too bad they can't prohibit Sarah having visitation rights.
I wonder if Levi exercised "sporadic visitation rights" because she lives with her mother and Sarah makes it difficult for any visitation.

8. Why is this poor girl being drug through the MUD?!
Seriously.. she didn't pick her mother. She certainly didn't decide to have her mom run for VP, and then open her own life up for insane scrutiny...

She's a teen mom trying to raise her kid.. and do it the best way she knows how. If there is proof of Sarah trying to prevent Levi from seeing the child - then make the story be about that. But, right now I don't think it's fair to knock Bristol at all.. she seems to be doing a better job then a lot of other teen mom's i've known.. as of yet I haven't seen pictures of her taking the baby out to nightclubs at 11pm.

Pick on Sarah if you wish.. but leave her kids alone. If the rolls were reversed and Sasha, Malia or even Chelsea Clinton were un-wed parents, we'd be furious if the right was picking on any of those girls. Have the same respect for those on the left.. you can't pick your parents.
