There was no net job growth in last decade.
Edited on Sat Jan-02-10 04:20 PM by Hamlette

For most of the past 70 years, the U.S. economy has grown at a steady clip, generating perpetually higher incomes and wealth for American households. But since 2000, the story is starkly different.

The past decade was the worst for the U.S. economy in modern times, a sharp reversal from a long period of prosperity that is leading economists and policymakers to fundamentally rethink the underpinnings of the nation's growth.
...

There has been zero net job creation since December 1999. No previous decade going back to the 1940s had job growth of less than 20 percent. Economic output rose at its slowest rate of any decade since the 1930s as well.

Middle-income households made less in 2008, when adjusted for inflation, than they did in 1999 -- and the number is sure to have declined further during a difficult 2009. The Aughts were the first decade of falling median incomes since figures were first compiled in the 1960s.

1. The game is up.
The rest is just window dressing. Convincing us that the two jobs we have to replace the one job we had is a good thing.

4. AND
"You mean shipping the blue-collar/middle classes' jobs offshore and giving everyone a credit card instead wasn't a good idea after all? But we're the experts!" and....

What were the top tax rates for the years we really progressed??? 94%!!!! (according to pukes that isnt supposed to happen... notice they never mention this.)

Look how growth slowed once privatization of the 1980's and lower Tax bracket rates kicked in!!!
Also there was high union membership prior to the 1980's which kept up wages, CEO pay was in line, and there were non-profit health insurance companies... then along comes Ronnie Ray-gun and zap! The contract on america with Newt finished us off.

If the Liberal Media would educate the public instead of being stenographers for the pukes then the common wisdom would get/understand the puke's policies have punked us all. And the Democrats... dont get me started on their epic fail of EDUCATION of the public.
