2. Hard to say in that photo. Looks like it's just the lighting.

7. Some of each...
He's definitely grayer than he was this time last year, but the lighting in that photo makes him look like he has more than he does. Here he is in a different lighting situation:

3. That's pretty scary, since it's been less than a year...
During the campaign, he had no gray. They say that presidents age much more quickly while in office. :-(

6. He was starting to turn gray on the campaign trail and noted it
once when speaking.

8. Thanks! I guess I never noticed.
I was always impressed with how young, healthy and energetic he appeared, especially compared to his competition... ;)

I guess the aging process started earlier. It was a tough campaign. :-(

9. FWIW...

I'm about 6 months older than him. I have noticed a more gray on my head, too. I'm sure in both our cases, some of it is stress-related. But, neither of us are exactly spring chickens. People who are pushing 50 start turning gray, in most cases. Hell, George Clooney has more gray, and is the same age.

12. That's what I was thinking
I think there is some truth to the Presidency aging a person, but I also think that the most recent Presidents were at an age where most men start to show more signs of aging. <-- period.

14. I started going gray at 18.
It runs in my family to go gray extremely young. My mother was the "lucky one" in our family. She didn't start going gray until she was 21, the year she had me.

10. It's a lighting effect
Makes it look like he's got a lot more grey hair than he really has. Even completely black hair shows this effect.

13. Being president ages people beyond belief.
Even being Vice president ages people* beyond belief.

If you look through recent history at the presidents on their first campaign trail, then after their terms are over, you'll see a marked aging process. It's eerie how much it ages them.

*except Dick Cheney...I'm convinced he is not human.

All Presidents age considerably in office. It comes with the job....
