FWIW...even though I despise bush/cheney w/a passion...I could never advocate no condone assassination.

People who consider such options are a serious threat, not just to officials, but to society as a whole. This individual should be prosecuted post-haste, a jury can decide his guilt/innocence.

The SS did well. But the frightening part, are those that are not stupid enough, like this guy, to telegraph his intent... I worry far more about the individual who is plotting silently.

OK, we've finally seen a use of 911 dumber than calling them because Burger King won't make your burger properly or because your boyfriend won't marry you...call them because you intend to kill the President and First Lady. Yeah, that'll be helpful.

Actually, I wish everyone who was planning such a thing WOULD call 911. Would make 'em a lot easier to stop in their tracks.
