OBAMA inherited BUSH's intelligence (or not so intelligent) system |
|
Listening to CSPAN this morning I heard a man with a broad Southern accent accuse Obama of being an idiot over intelligence failure. It is obvious that the GOP is using this to their advantage.
What needs to be made obvious is that OBAMA inherited BUSH's intelligence mess.
Bush failed and was 'caught with his pants down' on 9/11. His military and intelligence community failed to act before, on the day of 9/11 and for years thereafter. We know that - but most the general public is unaware of this. When the shoe bomber did his stunt on the atlantic flight we didn't hear as much from the MSM and the GOP. This was under Bush's watch. Cheney followers have remained in the agencies and will cause much disruption for Obama. The neocons are still there with their unfinished agenda waiting for the opportunity. Obama doesn't know who his friends are. What Obama needs to do is make sweeping changes to the intelligence community out with the old and in with the new.

Bush lacked intelligence, in more ways than one.
