I don't care about a failed terrorist attack in Detroit. We've got terrorists here
and they wear suits. These terrorists are threatening my livelyhood ever day and they've already taken EVERYTHING from my friends, neighbors and co workers.

THEY"RE CALLED CAPITALISTS!!!!

They deal in suffering for profit.

They own everything while we own nothing.

Some guy on an airplane with explosives in his underwear? Gimme break. last I checked you don't need exploding underwear to terrorize everyone. It does start with a suit and a few greenbacks though....

1. Terrorization of this nature starts with debt.
Never ever spend more than you can afford for a luxury.

3. Unfortunatly it's not about buying luxuries
It's the basics.

We have an economy built on BORROWING.

Want an education? BORROW!!!

Want a home? BORROW!!!

Want a Car? BORROW!!!!

And pay back three times what things are worth.

Now adays it's even food and basic utilities. Not terrorist created this situation in America and it's not the fault of the workers either. They don't make the rules or even own the politicians they vote in. It's the "responsible ones" that wear suits and produce nothing.

4. State schools modest homes and a little Toyota will do the job just fine.
A smaller house means less to fill and less to air condition/heat too. Minimizes stuff

5. Yeah, you don't have to borrow to buy a small house
Those are afforable!!!!! Better yet, just move into the closet.

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Typical conservative reactionary view. It's the fault of the people NOT the Financial elite who are sucking their blood. The problem isn't them it's just that they've been so kind and generous and it's the working classes that have had it so good.

6. I'm looking at a one bedroom condo. 600 square feet.
I practice what I preach.

Unfortunately that is still around 260,000.

7. What a non sequitor response
No one argued whether or not you practice what you preach. That issue is not even applicable to the conversation.

When the banks decide to take that 260,000 condo away from you, like that did to hundreds of thousands of other homeowners that made their payments on time, then maybe you would have a point.

I appreciate the non sequitor anecdote though. It's typical of your egocentric response that assumes everyone else is the idiot.

8. You said my State school small house/condo efficient car was a typical
unrealistic Conservative response. I'm telling you that's how I live my life and it is realistic. Then you accuse me of throwing a non sequitor. I just proved you can do it the way I described. And I do.

9. Nope, I said that you're basic idea of that is blaming the people
as if it is their irresponsible decision making (as you would coin it) that is the reason why they've lost their homes. That is a conservative response shifting responsibily away from those responsible AND ONTO THE VICTIMS.

Typical of the fake left.

And your personal anecdote (I practice what I preach) was a non sequitor. Not to mention that you don't understand that even smaller homes are over priced and the places where the working class people are able to have access to services (which are also cut) are over priced.

And practicing what you preach? If you really wanna go there, you really don't. No 600 square foot condo is worth $260,000. Wait till the property value depreciates (mainly cause people STOP BUYING THEM as they realize they are overpriced and can't afford them) and the bank takes it back leaving you with nothing. The overbloated housing market coupled with the job losses are part of the reason why folks are losing their homes.

Yeah, $260,000 for a one bedroom condo. Not that's really is practicing what you preach. Think again before you run around blaming others.

10. I'm looking at it and waiting for it to come down like I have
been for the last 6 years. Because I refused to buy over 300k. And maybe I can get it under 200k by the time this is all over. It's still Hawaii after all with finite land to build on so there should be some floor.
