What's the latest news on the AG's from 13 states who plan to block the HCR on

"constitutional grounds"???? They could tie this up for months/years! Obama is a Constitutional lawyer, I cannot imagine these AG's have a leg to stand on. I hope they do not succeed!

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

3. I hope not. But what proof do we have, and given the right to legally oppose
this bill, can they (Republicans) tie this up for months/years?

13. From what I understand they are trying to do it on the basis of funding, but Congress is the body
responsible for the purse strings

4. It does not look like NYS AG Cuomo will join this lawsuit
I currently have health insurance, but cannot afford medical treatment. 35 million (currently uninsured) Americans will know how I feel soon enough. And all of us will get to pay more so 35 million Americans can have health insurance that they will never be able to afford to use for medical treatment.

10. When our constitution was written--Freedom or Liberty referred to
finances. A big part of Freedom or Liberty mean free to
make and spend your own money as you saw fit.

This is why we did not choose the French system. Yes,
the French system was considered.

A case can be made by Conservative Judges that our Liberty
and Freedoms are being interfered with.

Hatch is waiting for the law to pass and then someone
will refuse to buy insurance and the case will work up
to Supreme Court.

I am not saying this is right or wrong -- just pointing
out what is going on.

As I understand the AG s are fighting the Nelson gift.
His state not having to pay for the expansion of Medicaid.

You are aware that two Democratic AGs have joined this
fight.

They are hoping the Congress will simply take away the
Nelson earmark and that will solve the problem.
They will go to court if this does not happen.
I would say they have a good case.
