Memory Lane: Auma Obama in Iowa (Barack's Sister)
I was always a 64 Crayola Box kinda gal .... the more colors the better. Pretty cool to see the two beautiful women in this video (Maya is on this but she doesn't speak) and know that the President is honored to have BOTH of them as his sister. Cue Louis Armstrong...

Scenes from the campaign: Auma in Iowa

The DVD of "By the People," the Obama campaign documentary, goes up for sale today, and it includes extra material cut from the film, which aired on HBO and in theaters, for reasons of space.

Here's one of those deleted scenes, a moment during which Auma Obama, the candidate's half-sister from Kenya, who has lived in London, visits Iowa to rally the troops.

Auma talks about the anger she's felt watching the campaign from afar, and how Barack and Michelle have talked her down when she calls.

It's an interesting, previously unreported, moment and sheds a little light on Obama's relationship with his extended family, something the campaign and the administration have generally avoided highlighting.
