Answer This: Could a Dark-Skinned Man from Baltimore who Graduated from Morehouse Become President?
It's a very simple question. In America, circa 2010...Could a Dark-Skinned Man from Baltimore, Maryland who Graduated from Morehouse College and speaks with an East Coast dialect (Bawldimore, Merlin) become President? Actually...would he have a chance in hell in most states? Or be given the time of day on the national stage? He didn't go to an Ivy League School, but he's smart and ambitious. He doesn't have the crispest "Middle American" dialect, but he can talk clearly and people understand him. Maybe he likes more recent R&B (let's say Neo-Soul).

Looking at the way Obama has been treated by some. And yes, Reid's comments...I say the answer is no.

2. All over this country people speak with different dialects
People are accepted regardless of that. I think trying to make something out of this statement of Reid's show the level of controversy that everyone every single person who is commenting about it being racist which to promote. How many times have people made comments about gays, lesbians, even Canadians, southerns etc. People are people and this time there was no hateful intent so I think those that won't let this go are just as bad if not worst than the republican racist. He didn't mean any disrespect for goodness sake...go away people...let it drop.
