Media Matters - "Fox Nation states Obama 'Reacts to Haiti Earthquake Faster Than Christmas Bomber'"
Edited on Thu Jan-14-10 01:08 AM by TomCADem
Un-freaking-believable that Fox News airs this crap and people can't get enough of it:

Echoing Limbaugh, Fox Nation states that Obama "Reacts to Haiti Earthquake Faster Than Christmas Bomber"

<>

Only Fox and Limbaugh could turn President Obama's humanitarian efforts into a weak on National Security campaign.

3. I have to agree, but as long as Fox is on the air, we have to
grin and bear it. Hopefully, most serious people are going to be turning Fox off soon. Sure there will be those who watch who are the same people who read the tabloids, but most thinking people will not be watching them. I noticed that they stopped putting Fox News on the TV in the customer's lounge of my mechanics. It used to be on every time I went there. Sure they don't have other news on, more just the fluff cooking shows type of TV, but Fox seems not to be watched anymore. It's a little light at the end of the tunnel.

4. At Christmas was there an ongoing humanitarian disaster
calling for an immediate multinational relief effort? Was I asleep or something?

Some desperate dummies are even dumber than you think.

5. The Haiti earthquake is an ongoing distaster that needs immediate attention
while it may still be possible to save many many lives. Thousands are buried under buildings. Millions face starvation and disease. An immediate response can at least make a dent in this.

The Christmas bomber incident was over with and under control before anyone not on that plane was even aware of it. There was no crisis that needed an immediate response. There were no lives in danger that could be saved with immediate action.

To compare the two things is just stupid - or calculating. I think we know which.

6. It is pure projection. Make Obama look bad in some way because W. and co messed up on Katrina so bad
It won't work though. Public approved of Obama's handling of the Christmas day bomber and will give him high marks for his handling of the Haiti crisis too.

7. Someone should ask if people stop celebrating Christmas
because of the Underwear Bomber....even those on the flight.

Did Rush cancelled his trip to Hawaii to go and help save dying people?
Oh, that's right! There weren't any!

10. they were ready either way ...
Obama reacts immediately ... "Obama cares more about the Negroes in Haiti than national security!"

Obama takes a little time before making a statement ... "He took X hours to make a statement! How callous!"

(Of course, when they talk about the length of time between an event and the reaction, X hours sounds longer than Y days ... 60 hours would SOUND like longer than 3 days - which is 72 hours ...)
