3. Love how he's pointing out how the bank lobbyists are doing the same thing...
... the insurance lobbyists did. (trying to defeat his agenda) (He's not outright saying "the same thing insurance did" but the allusion is clear.)

5. It will be interesting to check in on DU today to see how this is playing out.
I wonder what some of the usual suspects will have to say.

19. When congress takes the proposal and inserts "cut" after the word "tax" Obama can still claim ...
... it's 99% of what he wanted.

10. Listen to you all... talking like something actually happened today ....
Pffff. We heard a lot about what we were going to get with Health Care too.

And if this doesn't happen it won't matter. You'll be full of how he did his best, he can't force congress to give him a bill and dismiss these ideas as equivalent to a pony.

11. I think it's a net good.
My criticism is that as on its face, the proposal would protect the big banks from competition by creating another barrier to growth for the smaller banks, and it will do nothing to end TBTF.

20. The banks
The banks will just jack our fees so we will end up paying for it in the long run. God forbid a corporation not make as much profit as it can. :sarcasm:
