I supported Rosalind Kurita in the primary. Ford Jr. was anti-choice (at least back then), his father was being investigated for taking bribes, everything about Ford Jr. screamed DINO. Yet, he was running against Bob Fucking Corker. So you bet your ass I held my nose and voted for Ford.

I know a lot of folks here don't like Coakley. But do you really want Brown?

I don't. One of the things I stand for is making actual progress whenever possible. I also stand for using reason instead of knee-jerk reactons. I also stand for looking at ALL the facts available and not jumping to conclusions.

Not all of the Democrats are demoralized, and many independents are VERY impressed. Count me as one. I am registered as Independent but because I am a Progressive I vote Democratic.

There is a small but very vocal minority who are misinformed and think with their emotions. But they do not represent a majority of Progressives and Liberals. They just yell loudly.

10. Coakley isn't anti-choice. She might be polling better if she were

because there are a great many blue collar Catholics whose votes she needs. They can accept someone who talks about reducing the need for abortion while preserving a woman's right to choose but her strong pro-choice position may persuade some to stay home.

the arguments made during the primary that we'd be better off with him than with a Republican turned out to be incorrect. A moderate Republican would probably have voted for the public option and climate change bills in order to keep his seat. Lieberman has caused more damage than any Republican could.
