Sometimes I get disappointed in Obama, but seeing his speech at church this morning makes me......
realize that he honestly cares for people, something Bush NEVER did and the GOP never will.

He may not be handling EVERY issue like I want him to but he is a intelligent, caring, honest man who cares more about the average American than any GOP congressman!

The man is like no other president we have ever had. And we need to remember that he still has 2 1/2 years left in his FIRST term.

I am so glad he won and look forward to what the future holds from him.

7. Is that a progressive way to speak about the Democratic president?
I always heard that after perfection there is nothing left but death.

So far I haven't seen Obama trying to walk on water.

Think about it.

4. He is trying, he is trying so hard
In such a tough reality, with an opposition party that hates him like they never hated any Democrat president, with so many problem that he dud not created. He is doing all that he humanly can. It break my heart to see so many f his supporters just abandoning him so quickly. I really wanted to reach into the screen and hug him in the end of this speech. Moves me to tears.

8. Good post.
I do believe that Jimmy Carter cares deeply about people also, including as President. His human rights concern always stemmed from that care. As a human being I believe Bill Clinton cares deeply about people too, though his pragmatic read on politics often differed from mine.

9. The President gives great speeches. He's a fantastic orator who oozes empathy.
But it's good to remember the old adage: Talk is cheap.

Of course, we all want to believe that he's working hard for us citizens and has our best interests at heart. Judging by what I've seen so far, his performance is disappointing, but I'm still holding out HOPE.

people like you, if you had only listened to his “speechifying”, you would not have made such a cynical comment. Just because you don’t get everything at once does not mean it is not progress. You obviously did not listen to his sermon.

have to wait long, did they?

Just because his speechifying feels like a kiss to most, doesn't mean that we should bend over and allow ourselves to be f'd without any complaints or concerns.

26. Who can't help but dump it in a positive post about Obama.
Really, there are tons of them here that have the negativity that you desire. What is the point of taking a dump in this one? Is it just plain rudeness? A temper trantrum? Didn't get enough attention as a child?

Even if we don't give you enough attention, we are all well aware that you exist. That you are consumed by cynicism and ideology. But we can make another note of it.

Although political speeches don't belong in churches.

53. The cabal that runs this country...
...and bribes, blackmails and threatens our politicians---doesn't really
care how they handle global disasters. They leave them alone, and allow
Obama to be Presidential on issues that don't affect the profits of the
sacred corporations who have paid so much to own our government.

So, Obama gets to shine and be himself.

I'm fully convinced that Obama is a good man. He is decent and that he
doesn't like what is happening in our government. I am angry about many
decisions and I know he is not totally without fault. However, I think he
wishes he could do more. I believe that he is not in the same league as
Bush and that he is a true humanitarian.

I can't even imagine what he endures dealing with the crime syndicate
that has its tentacles wrapped around every facet of our government.
