Why No Exit Polls In Massachusetts???
I read it on Huffington Post and some other websites (don't remember the exact ones, but "indy" was in there somewhere; sorry I'm so lame).
I don't like this, one bit.

18. That's ridiculous. The GOP has stolen plenty of other elections that had exit polls. n/t

19. The MSM doesn't trust exit polls. Remember the "reluctant" GOP responder
theory?

2. This is a special election , not a big general election
Plus the state (like so many others) is pretty broke. They aren't spending money on exit pollers. Or at least I think.

9. It is the media that does the exit poles so they have something broadcast
The state run the election.

12. lol, because it's Rasmussen and we hate them.....
.... except for a brief time when they had Martha ahead last week then we decided that they weren't THAT bad .... but it's just funny that we're going to be speculating on what this pollster (who we spend most of our time discounting) has to say on the matter.

I love irony.

13. Well I know...but why release it AFTER the polls close?
It just seems pointless - especially since there is a chance he's way off.

I mean, he's releasing a poll that in a couple hours will be pointless by the actual results.

7. Apparently it takes quite some time to prepare an exit poll
but the pollsters expected a landslide victory by Martha Coakley, who was leading by 15-points in November. When the polls tightened and became apparent the race was going to be competitive, there wasn't enough time to prepare an exit poll.

11. Exit polls are always right
They were dropped after the 2000 election because they showed Gore won and the media pretended that since Bush won the exit polls were wrong.

It's the spin baby!

17. Actually exit polls show nothing do they???
In Ohio all the exit polls showed Kerry way ahead. Way ahead. When the vote was tallied bush won. So what good are exit polls.
