That just means that she wasn't a good campaigner and made some bad blunders.

it was that she was irresponsible and did not properly serve those who elected her.

for screwing the pooch on healthcare reform, not with the kind of super majority that we have. A majority that many a former Dem. president would have envied.

New Jersey, Virginia and now MA, the bluest of the blue states. Things are going to be a lot harder for the dems, after the mid-terms in November.

In a dramatic upset that will end Democrats' super majority in the Senate, Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown defeated Democrat Martha Coakley to claim the seat held by the late Ted Kennedy for more than 46 years.

Brown's victory makes him the 41st Republican in the Senate, meaning Democrats will no longer be able to prevent a Republican filibuster -- a major complication for President Obama's agenda and health care legislation currently pending in Congress.

Brown has said he opposes Democrats' health care overhaul working its way through Congress, and some Democrats are even acknowledging Brown's win could imperil passage of other big ticket items, including climate change legislation, regulatory reforms and a banking industry overhaul. There has so far been little or no bipartisanship on such major issues.

I think the whole country is disgusted with both parties and their policies. Instead of spin, I hope the dems learn something, and we see some real changes soon!

they have a channel called 'direct news mix,' which shows all the news channels on the screen at once. It works great on nights like this.

I too heard the announcement when it first aired. I was surprised she conceded so early, but the Boston votes she was hoping to get did't happen.

I put it on that channel sometimes, but today I just kept flipping channels. All that while cooking a pot of sauce w/sausage and baby bella mushrooms to serve with polenta. LOL!!

Nothing like comfort food on a winter night.

My girlfriend is Italian and loves that polenta. I'd rather have spaghetti..........sauce sounds good though...........enjoy!

A true Italian would have said that she was making gravy, not sauce. Although, if I so myself, it came out pretty good. I like polenta, it's Italian grits. I hadn't made polenta in ages, but tonight I felt like having it.
