People are still enraged about the bank bailouts and the stimulus not paying visible dividends in their everyday lives...on top of that they are now looking at healthcare reform that benefits health insurance corporations more than it does them.

Incumbents lose only when they've monumentally screwed up or the tide heavily favors the opposition party. Neither figures to describe 2012. Brown is just the type of phony ass Republican who can smile and survive, even in that region. It would have been far simpler to run a competent candidate/campaign this time and keep him out, than bump him once he's established as an incumbent.
