3. Today was a double whammy
My Son deployed to Haiti. (a good mission, I know, but as Mom, I worry)

My comfort comes from my Husband and our three cocker spaniels. They make me smile.

5. Unfortuantely the disconnect I have with my own country
that I live overseas and am lucky enough enjoy decent health care that is government run. But it doesn't make me happy to see what is going on and how people are getting fucked on HC. Honestly most of the time I love my home nation, but it's days like today that I honest to God question the sanity of where we are going. No matter how hard we try, the Republicans and others are there to fuck things up.

Sorry i just feel the need to vent.

9. This is where I found comfort this morning, my husband's team in Haiti - made every effort to vote

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Even in this earthquake-shattered city, a contingent of Massachusetts residents raced against the clock yesterday to vote in the special election to replace the late Edward M. Kennedy as US senator.
