6. Yes - because it was a special election
he only gets the seat through the end of Ted Kennedy's term.

9. It's a special election
Edited on Wed Jan-20-10 12:32 AM by Cha
to fill in the last two years of Teddy's seat so that's the up side.

Will brown work for the people of Mass and get elected in the regular election in 2012 or will the two years show him to be what he's really like?

4. I hope we learn from this that if a candidate is endorsed by the establishment
we should look elsewhere.

8. Why didn't he win?
Who endorsed Coakley during the primaries,
that made those progressive MA voters for her
as the candidate to face Brown?

11. I've read that she is the
Mass party machine candidate and we know that doesn't always work out so well.

13. I've heard that Capuano was MIA in helping Coakley.
The rap I heard on Capuano was that he did little to help Coakley, figuring that if she won then the seat was hers for life, but if Brown won then Capuano would have another shot in 2012.

From what I've heard about Capuano, I like him, but if he was playing that kind of game, he loses several million points in my book.

I must admit, though, I'm just mentioning rumor. Can you give us any hard facts about what Capuano did or didn't do after losing the primary?
