A thank you to the US

Fellow DUers, just wanted to say a thank you to the US for its
support to the Haiti Earthquake.  Yes, I know some other
countries got there first but when the US got there, they
managed to control the chaos and my heart goes out to the
people in America who are adopting the orphans from Haiti.  

I cried when the husband knew his wife was alive and she told
him that she loved him, that was so emotional.

Sorry for being long winded, but hat's off to President Obama
for motivating this rescue effort and hats off to the American
people who are always available to help out in a crisis, no
matter where the place is.  America rocks and no matter how
the politics is, the US is always the first to get in there
and do its best. The US rocks, bless you America!

in my opinion is doing a fantastic job in Haiti. If it were not for the US, the island would be a disaster!

i've pointed out before the DU american exceptionalism, so i'm not surprised this thread has so few responses.

america is a wonderful country, and i'm very proud of her. obama, and the american people have stepped up to the plate for haiti and good for us.

.... and perhaps one of the saddest things out of all of this is that it takes a tragedy like this to remind us that all of us .... the people of the world .... are ultimately one brotherhood. Like any family we fight, but when it all comes right down to it, we need one another to survive.
