1. I'm going to have to wait for the recap or read the text.
I'm just so SICK of rhetorical flourishes which pan out to be "All Hype and No Action." :(

4. I'm with you.
Unless I hear in advance that President Obama is going to announce that Geithner and Summers are fired and that he is empowering the Justice department to break-up the corporate banks ... well, then what is the point?

Unless I hear in advance that President Obama is yanking the health insurance company bailout bill and is going to fight to the last breath for a Medicare for everyone plan ... well, what is the point?

Unless I hear in advance that President Obama is going to make some real progress on cutting the deficit by finally closing some military bases overseas and cutting some of the waste out of the Pentagon ... well, what is the point?

If all we are going to get is "rhetorical flourishes" that move the White House and Congressional Democrats further to the right (or argues for becoming even more cautious and timid and risk averse) ... well, what is the point?

3. I don't see a point in resenting that
Any federal employee has it, but only as as employer plan. They don't have it if the leave or lose the job, just like any other person employed.

The Democrats there tried to get it for all of us, but it was not good enough for the "base" and now suddenly the independents care about deficits (guess they have their health care) so the progressives will not only not be getting what they want, they won't be getting anything at all.
