. ..this whole "we can't vote on health care until Scott Brown is sworn in" thing is BULLSHIT.

Why isolate health care? That is bullshit. We are talking about 1 fucking senator and the current senator is still in place. If the Senate doesn't have the balls to vote on health care until Brown is sworn in, they should shut down because to isolate one issue over one guy is inexcusable.

3. Didn't Franken vote on the Senate bill?
I thought he was in the senate by the time they had the vote.

5. I believe he/she meant they didn't hold up any legislations at the time.

7. They needed his vote to move the legislation...
they may not have said they were waiting for Franken, but they didn't want to move until he was seated. I don't see any reason to wait for Brown, though. If the repukes want to wait for him, they'll have to force the issue (which is going to be tough to do without Brown's vote).

9. In fact the republicans voted against seating him til
Coleman's numerous request for extra checking of ballots, recounts, and lawsuits. Franken was the winner...after the recount. But the republicans voted not to seat him.

6. It's a political calculation

There's an old adage: When you're in a hole, stop digging. If voters are pissed off at the Senate HCR, voting on it now would be rubbing their noses in it. Is that wise?

8. It has nothing to do with the Senate voting. House progressives oppose the Senate Bill.
Obama has to suck it in and face it, he pissed away a year and his political capital and lost.

He should have, as I've said since February 09, focus on creating "new jobs" and ending the housing crisis. He didn't.

Obama will look foolish next week when he gives his State of the Union address. He can only blame himself.
