I hate to admit the truth but President Obama and Democrats acted irresponsibly
In compromising over and over again with a party that was ran out on a rail because they destroyed the economy and lied us into a war in the middle east, one can accurately assume that Democrats have cast their lot with bums. It is irresponsible to trust the party who created calamity and catastrophe over the last 8 years. Working with the Republicans was counter to fixing the country. This is why healthcare - legislation that should have been finished at least six months ago - hasn't been signed into law. Democrats were working with a party - the Republicans - who didn't have any intention of reforming ANYTHING. Remember this is the party that redistributed the wealth, caused the economic melt-down, started two wars (none of which they finished). And Democrats want to work in bi-partisanship with this bunch? This is irresponsible.

This is the height of irresponsibility. Here is a summation of the two parties right now. Democrats: "Yes, I know you burned down the house but let us work together to put this house back up." Republicans: "Okay... let's rebuild it our way though. You don't mind do you?"

While Democrats (a few exceptions) earnestly try to put up one side of the house, the Republicans are digging a trench so that the other side of the house can collapse into it. When the whole house comes tumbling down, the Republicans will blame the Democrats because they are currently in charge of the rebuilding process. This is bi-partisanship... the Republican way. This seems to be acceptable to Democrats and that is irresponsible. Democrats were voted into fix the mess. You don't work hand in hand with the bums who created it... as if the Republicans have just turned over a new leaf.

Republicans want to see this president fail. It comes from the mouths and actions of many Republicans. President Obama wants to work with them as though they will somehow come to appreciate his speak. Trusting the Republicans to do the right thing... that's irresponsible and is completely unacceptable by people who voted for an overhaul of business as usual in Washington.

While people who need healthcare are dying daily, Democrats have ceded the argument that healthcare must not add a dime to the deficit. Are you kidding? So people should die needlessly so long as reforming - get it - HEALTHCARE doesn't add a dime to the deficit while we're fighting endless wars in the middle east to the tune of trillions and nary a word is spat against it's costs? This is irresponsible. Democrats in both houses are starting to sound like Republicans.

The Republican party is not interested in helping you govern. They are interested in a power grab as they help Democrats fail at everything. It's irresponsible that you don't realize this. You should have stopped the Republicans in their tracks right after they fought you on the stimulus. The health of this country is a right... not a privilege. The country put Democrats in power to get universal health care and Democrats decided to water it down at the insistence of Republicans who wanted to kill the reform altogether and Blue dogs who wanted to keep their power in Red states.

President Obama and the Democrats THIS is your lesson. It happened in Massachusetts. Blue dogs are conservatives. That is a Republican by any normal, rational definition. Stop being irresponsible. Stop listening to them. They are telling you to be centrists. They are telling you to be more conservative. America did not elect Democrats to be conservative. They elected Democrats to act like Democrats and deliver on the promises made during the presidential primaries. The country put you in power to do what was best for all it's people whether some on the other side know what that is or not.

This is your chance to become responsible and get healthcare done right... without the republicans. This is your chance to get financial regulation done. This is your chance to get a climate bill and jobs initiatives program out there for this struggling economy. Why? Because we the people voted you in for this kind of change and we knew the Republicans never had, never will have any intention of ever becoming responsible to America. Their allegiance is to their own power. Yours, after the MA debacle should be to the people who elected you.

2. I understand what you mean...but Dems aren't totally innocent
in this economic catasphrophe. Bill Clinton gave us NAFTA and didn't correct the wrongs of the Bush that came before him. Actually, globalization as a whole took off under the Clinton Administration. They sat back while outsourcing was still popular and part of globalization. Now people see how bad of an idea it was, but still aren't fixing it. You also have to acknowledge that Democrats and Republican elites work for the same corporatists. They don't want to see the GOP crash and burn.

6. while Obama and Reid are still practicing their bi-partisan two step -
- yes they will not vote on healthcare until Brown is seated - It seems to me they still haven't learned how to get big things done... without the do-nothing Republicans.

11. I want him to succeed for two terms but right now me thinks the divide between the parties is too
large for him to get them to sit down at the same table. Many of them won't even come into the same room with the Dems because they are neo-cons.
