I'm relieved that Democrats have plans to pass Health Care Reform
1) Pelosi is willing to pass the Senate bill in exchange for passing a "patch" Senate Reconciliation Bill that the House wants
2) Conrad is willing to look at reconciliation on its own
3) The White House is willing to break up the legislation and pass it piecemeal
4) The White House is seeing if it can get 60 votes by getting Snowe
5) Various members are willing to let it die
6) Various members are willing to do something else

Be nice if we actually had figured out which Plan B was our Plan B, but hey, I'm not in Congress or the White House, what do I know. :dunce:

1. With 26 letters in the alphabet, there must be one that'll fit a plan.

3. Or... as Obama said today,
"it's time to come together around a bill that can draw Republican support, too."

(I keep posting this but jeez, I'm just gobsmacked that this could have been a quote from a year ago!)

8. Do you have a link for that? Where did you hear it?
That is a shocking statement from him at this point.
The Republicans are NEVER going to vote for ANY Democratic health care proposal, no matter what it is. They don't play the bipartisan game. If Obama doesn't get that by now, he is hopelessly naive.

4. The Democrats have no intention of passing Health Care Reform
and I doubt they ever did.

Calling the scam they're working on "health care reform" doesn't make it so - anymore than Bush's "Clean Skies Initiative" had anything to do with improving air quality.

6. It's actually just insurance industry regulation, it has nothing to do with
the delivery of medical care.
