MA Exit Polls
Can someone point me to the exit polling from yesterday's Senatorial election in MA?

My son told me that the reasons given for voting for Brown had to do with national security, not health care. That certainly isn't what I'm seeing on the news.

2. POTUS XM Radio mentioned there was no formal exit polling.

Supossedly they take a decent amount of time and effort to set up and, up until a week or two ago, no one saw this as really being a contest. If the race is presumed not close, it's SOP to forego exit polling. At least this is what POTUS XM said.

So from what I've gathered... No exit Polls

5. I don't think there actually was any
I have been listening to NPR today, and they have been talking about the Massachusetts election very extensively. On Diane Rheme, it came up in conversation about the general absence of any exit polling. It may have been thought that since it was a Massachusetts seat that a democrat would be a "shoe-in", so what would be the point. Or, since it was a special election in only one state maybe it was seen that funding exit polls was not that big a priority.

I was born and grew up in Massachusetts. I do not think that the election of Mr. Brown represents some major shift in the Massachusetts electorate. I do think, like many Dems, people in Massachusetts are dissapointed and frustrated with Obama. He dropped the public option like a hot potato when the health care debate began to heat up. And the "kid gloves" treatment with Wall St. only added to the frustration.
I do not think that MA will all of a sudden become a republican stronghold, however I do tend to think the electorate there will likely be leaning to the label of "independent" than Democrat.

What I have not heard is what the turnout was like. Has anyone heard anything?

I fully intend to keep my eyes and ears open. Let's just see how long he lasts in the eyes of Mass voters.
