1. 120 copy and paste threads every day from the same people
is what is annoying.

5. Yeah, especially when you disagree with it,
then it's unbearably annoying, right?

Ever notice how some critics of frequent posting aren't annoyed by repeated posting of the same article criticizing the President and Democrats? I mean, some of those pieces can be posted six times in an hour, and there wouldn't be a single objection from the "cut and paste" police.

2. Depends on the criticism and/or the praise.
Both can be useful. Both can be pointless.

3. "Both can be pointless"
Let's assume that since it doesn't say "pointless" criticism or praise, it means constructive.

4. Ok, both can be useful then.
Of course, it's all in the eye of the beholder. For instance, Cornel West has a great message to Obama that I would consider thoughtful and constructive that some others would just discard.

As for praise, it can be useful when earned to inspire the person to follow up with more of the same actions, but blind praise is useless to all involved, especially the one getting it as it insulates them from reality and just feeds the ego.

Both are double edged swords that should be wielded carefully.
