Tweety is trying to conflate Edwards, who made a huge personal mistake and didn't know a few facts on foreign policy during the primaries, to Palin, who is a blithering moron.

The man was the first one in his entire family to go to college, went to a great law school, graduated both with honors, and had an amazing legal career, then beat the Jesse Helms machine at the height of its power, dumb he aint.

13. He was responding to what book said without considering the law school part

Law school alone sets him apart from palin, not just by being intelligent enough to get through but having the attention span to stay in one school long enough.
So tweety was dumb.
But those were book authors and he talked about what Elizabeth said about John not reading...and about interviews where he was asked questions about his policies and really seemed not to have the knowledge to answer them.
So tweety, not being deep, saw comparison to palin not reading much and not having much knowledge.
He was never a John Edwards fan but he was a big Elizabeth fan

I haven't heard anyone on shows I have watched talk about the bad things book said about Elizabeth that a lot of us say in the chapter in the New Yorker. I am very glad about that. I expected them to behave that way but often my expectations are set too high. May that continue.

What bugged me most about Chris in that section of show was one of the guests kept starting to say something and Chris kept blurting out things as he so often does and it ended before he ever let the guy say what he kept trying to. He does that too often,
