Questions re: SCOTUS/Corp Spending; INDIVIDUAL limit lifted? Unions? Tax Deductability.
Question 1:

From what I read the SCOTUS ruling didn't strike down the individual limits on campaign contribution, but only lifted the rules against corporations?

I'm not in the BALLPARK of reaching the personal limit on contributions, but if the individual limit is there, but then corporations can spend without limit? Yes, we're truly screwed.

Question 2: Please follow to the end:

Will corporate campaign/political spending be TAX DEDUCTIBLE? That is, will said corporation be able to LOWER ITS TAXES when it spends political money?

No way?

How about if it were to make a commercial for a product/service it sells and have some IMPLIED political message contained in the commercial? DON'T THINK THEY WON'T TRY THAT.

I'm reminded of when the rich get to "donate" to "educational institutions" like the Cato and Heritage Institutes.

Question 3:

Apparently the ruling applies to unions as well. Last I checked, union dues were deductible (schedule A?). Could people "create" and join a "union" (for most of us in careers which have no unions), pay "dues" and then have the "unions" act politically?

I know some of these are over the top but a reading of day one's stories don't discuss any of these.
