The insanity of breaking up the health care bill into little pieces
Empowering Bayh, Lieberman, Nelson and other Dems to vote against the parts they don't like.

This bill is the result of almost a year of negotiations.

Pass. The. Damn. Bill.

1. If they're not going with 60 votes, then it is a good thing.
I think what they're trying to do is pass the stuff that is popular on both sides with a straight up and down vote, and then the stuff that is not with 51 reconciliation. I think that's smart.

10. Apparently from someone I heard,
there are some things. They should know because they have been talking to both sides.

5. Here's another problem with this thinking.

Why is passing individual measures that will not have the same impact preferable to passing the entire bill and then making it better? This is something they can agree to do in advance of the vote.

11. There are some things that will have a huge and immediate impact
--- such as stopping the denial of health coverage.

7. Why should this insanity be any different from all of the rest of the insanity?
The GOP is insane; and the Dems want to be.
