When someone gets as spastic as Mort Zuckerman was today on MSNBC
you just know he is lying. One big lie was that Obama said that unemployment would be around 8% and not get higher. Either I misunderstood what Mort was saying or I misunderstood what Obama has been saying all along that unemployment would likely reach 10%.

Mort, it's just not about the President or his administration "working with" the GOP. How about the GOP trying to work WITH the President.

And, if anyone here thinks that mort voted for Obama and is now a disgruntled supporter, raise your hand. Anyone who raises the banner of the GOP as much as Mort does was never an Obama supporter and really wants to see him fail. Mort's talking points could not have been clearer.

1. According to Newsmeat, Mort's donations are far more "blue" than "red"

Of course some of those allegedly "blue" donations are questionable (Baucus, Warner, Lieberdouche, etc.)

And he always sounds like a conservative to me when he's on the McLaughlin Group.

2. I am not defending Zuckerman, he can really be annoying. However
Obama did say if they passed the stimulus they hoped to
keep the Unemployment at no higher than 8%.

This has been a weekly talking point with the Republicans.
They have used it over and over since the stimulus as part
of their effort to discredit Obama.

I am sure Obama wishes he had never been that specific.

As I said Zuckerman can be so very annoying but he is not
lying on this one point.

4. "hoping that unemployment stays under 8%" is not lying.
Obama said on many occassions that unemployment would likely get to 10% or more.

3. The unemployment number
has been said over and over until people think it is true. I remember Obama saying it would get worse before it got better. Mort also said we need to get a healthcare bill with the repukes on board. What reality does he live in? All they want is insurance across state lines which would undo the blue states regulations on the healthcare industry and the oldie but goodie tort reform. Screw the people even more.

11. Framing again.
Every puke announces that Dems must work with them. All of the Dems should demand that they work with us. It's all in the framing.

7. Mort voted for Obama and worked for Clinton.
I like Mort. He speaks for real people, and he speaks
with a human heart.

He says that Obama does not know how to govern... that
the President should put policy first and politics second.
