11. I wonder
Is it because they don't think he did his job during the Bush years, or is it simply because president Obama is supporting him?

16. Depends on which "people" you're talking about...
if you're connected or come through the Chicago power structure, he may act in your behalf (provided your interests don't conflict with those of a higher bidder).

I've read where he's talking about leaving the WH. I say we all chip in and buy him a one-way airline ticket back to the Windy City. Can DU start a fund for that???

6. It's not just Rahm, it's the Obama administration.

The Obama administration struggled on Friday to secure confirmation of Ben S. Bernanke to a second term as chairman of the Federal Reserve, underscoring the political upheaval as both parties tried to find their footing amid a powerful wave of populism.

9. Even Volcker supports Bernanke
Says it would be a terrible mistake to put someone new in and that considering the financial collapse, Bernanke has actually done a pretty good job steering us through it.

10. What do you think Bernanke's replacement's hearings would be like?
*ANY* possible replacement will face a non-stop shit-storm from the republicans. They want every single appointment to be controversial, to be seen as "out of touch", to somehow divide the democratic party.

...and they're winning. With help from the outraged teabaggers, anti-banker left, etc.

15. Do you actually think
that Rahm does anything without the full knowledge and support of his boss? If Rahm says or does anything political it's with the President telling him what to do. If you have a probelm with Rahm personally that's one thing but let's not pretend that he doesn't get his marching orders from anyone other than President Obama.

Sometimes I read and type so fast that it becomes near impossible to put together a coherent sentence. I always take at least 50% of the blame if someone takes the wrong meaning from something I write.
