Poll question: DOMESTIC spending freeze? But, a Deficit-heavy war budget, capitulations on real health care needs,
the "Patriot Act" massive department being continued,

All kinds of billions handed out to finance & other corporations,

B*sh-Cheney-Rummy-Condi off scot-free for their War Crimes

and mocking the active base that helped get you elected with their feet and wallets is Okay?

My question is, did you think that the Obama Administration would turn this Conservative so quickly?

2. so, would you say, that no matter what he really wanted to do that the dire state the USA
is in, prevents any kind of true recovery from occurring and we are unfortunately destined to a great economic upheaval in the not too distant future that will render the dollar laughable, as an offer offer for a bowl of soup? Wonder what you think, thanks.

4. When they announced this spending cuts
And the way it was done... told me we're in for a hell of a change

In the bright side, the dollar is the reserve currency and nobody is suicidal to just crash it. There have been rumblings to a change, orderly change, from the US dollar to either a basket of currencies or another currency. This is old news, been going on for five years... not reported in the US. So nobody will crash the US dollar. But you will see a devaluation, and all those austerity programs will hit the social net in ways that people yet do not comprehend.

Look at California... Think of that on a Federal level.

But how sudden this was, when yesterday the talk was that we could not do this... there has been a lot of arm twisting in the background... and behind closed doors.

11. gotcha. thanks. and Cali is what I could see across this country, yes.
The states need their funds to keep all these programs going, but the housing collapse lowered revenue, businesses with less revenue give less to the state & fed, so states are going to be hurting worse and worse. Obviously, things need done. It's the 'where' that is causing all the problem. I say bring them all home from the wars, but supposedly, our special ops teams that could be used on missions apparently is not enough to catch several hundred murderous guys in Pakistan/Afghanistan and we need a full ground invasion costing billions a week, which wrecks our budget for other more pressing needs (imo) in the states...

12. That will happen by default
Empires falling apart is not a nice thing to watch. Reality is that this is no longer academic.

But you can bet we will retrench in spite of the MIC

When the whole picture is finished downloading.... will it be like a Magic Eye Poster that we'll need to stare at before the pants-crapping phase begins?
