1. Very intriguing indeed.
I wonder where and from whom they got that info from. I wonder if they were spying or planning to spy on other Dems.

6. IMO, during the 8 * years, every member of Congress was bugged 24/7. That is why they were so
passive.

2. Remember Dingbat Flanagan?

Remember that O'Keefe has spoken at the Pelican Institute. One of his co-criminals was Robert Flanagan, who works for the Pelican Institute.

This was posted by Flanagan. They had some interest in what they thought was shady business around Landrieu from last November. I think they thought they could get more evidence on illegal donations or something with their bugs. The excerpt is from the Pelican Post, a website run by the Pelican Institute:

Watchdog Group Files Complaint Over Mysterious Landrieu Donation
Posted by Robert Flanagan on November 23, 2009
Uncategorized
The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has filed a complaint with the FEC over a $25,300 donation by Senator Mary Landrieu’s campaign to the U.S. Treasury.

CREW executive director Melanie Sloan argues, “We all know politicians don’t give up campaign contributions – much less $25,000 – without a very good reason. It appears Sen. Landrieu’s reason may have been to avoid a scandal or, even worse, a federal investigation into some of her contributions.”

Marc Elias, Senator Landrieu’s campaign lawyer, called the lawsuit “frivolous” and said the campaign wanted to protect the identity of donors who “may not have done anything wrong.” The CREW complaint however argues that the only two scenarios in which “dirty” money may be donated to the Treasury are if a donor is under a Justice Department investigation, or has been convicted for making illegal contributions. In both of these cases, the identity of the donor must be made public.

Sloan follows up, “Our campaign finance laws were designed to ensure transparency. If Sen. Landrieu did nothing wrong, she has no reason not to come clean with the American people and explain why she turned over $25,000 in contributions to the Treasury.”

11. My hubby and I make fun of his dirty, ugly sweatshirt.
He wears that thing every week. And how he barely says a word to the other coaches after a game. Brilliant mind but disturbed. :)

12. You are right, it was a third rate trespass. They didn't even have fake IDs
It was a though they wanted to get caught, or do such a piss poor job that they could say later on how easy it was to do the wire tap.

13. Have no idea. There's a college-prank clumsiness to the attempt
which may or may not mask the faces of more sinister higher-ups.

A follow-the-money investigation by a responsible team of journalists, if there are any left, would be useful.
