* Politico caused a stir today by reporting that Nancy Pelosi may break up the health care bill and pass the easy stuff now and do the bigger things later.

But seems to me that’s a misreading of her comments: She seems to be saying they’d take the things that can’t be done through reconciliation and do those separately, not that they’d put the whole bill on hold.

* Also: MSNBC caused a big stir by reporting that Nancy Pelosi said in an interview she has the votes to pass the Senate bill. But her office says she actually said she could have the votes, and that it’s a “very doable” solution with the right reconciliation fix, not that she has the votes to do this.
