Sometimes.. Words *ARE* Actions

Words, used properly, can change minds and create new opinions

Changed minds can begin to build consensus and momentum around ideas

Consensus-building and momentum create movements

Movements create majorities

Majorities create action

Here's some famous people who knew/know the power of words (for both good and bad):

Moses
Jesus
St. Paul
Mohammed
Confuscus
Sun Tzu
Martin Luther
Thomas Jefferson
Abraham Lincoln
Karl Marx
Teddy Roosevelt
Ghandi
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
Adolf Hitler
John Kennedy
Ronald Reagan

Words, powerful words, ARE actions... create actions.

Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck certainly know the power of words.

It's the reason they fear Obama so much.

Don't be so quick to dismiss "words".

1. Words and actions must be in harmony, of course.
If you say one thing but do another, pretty soon your words won't matter much.

Or if you say one thing but don't follow it up with actions, it's worthless.

Yes, the words are nice, they make us feel happy inside, but they MUST be paired with correct, bold actions.

We need to believe that those words will be acted upon.

when said in the context of passion...and I saw passion in our President last night. Passion for a nation who is struggling and desperately looking to him for help. He definitely responded. He kicked ass.

10. Of course, they are..
That meme that some have around here of "just words" is way past old.

All they have are their cheap shots.

Honestly, sometimes I forget President Obama truly does need us and he can not get this done alone. I plan on continuing to support him for the rest of his term then I will evaluate if further support is warranted. IMO we shouldn't put the guy in office and say, "There you go, Now it's all you." He did say it wouldn't be quick or easy and he never claimed to be able to do it alone.
