Is it normal for people like O'Keefe and his lawyer to make a whole case in the media about how they are "kids", and try to put Landrieu on trial etc.?

I thought the point of clamming up (aside from gag order) was to avoid saying things that could be proven wrong and increasing your exposure during the trial.

Is the whole goal of this media blitz to try and get public opinion to prevent any charges from being filed, or cause charges to be dropped entirely?

They've got nothing else so they have to hope to influence the jury pool.

2. I'm not sure that it is a winning strategy. Once arested the term

anything that you say and do can be used against you.

Maybe they are trying to muddy the water so much that they can them say that they can't get a fair trial.


Personally I believe that it is a bad idea...so O'Keefe should keep on doing it. :)

Until the judge decides otherwise. In this case the judge AFAIK issued a gag order against both parties.

since the judge put a gag order on the case, I think that is what someone said, then he can be picked up and jailed for breaking that gag order at any time. I wonder why he hasn't been. Picked up that is with bail revoked.

O'keefe, etal, aren't "kids", any more than Henry Hyde committed a "youthful indiscretion" at age 42. I suspect that line of justification--er--reasoning won't fly with a federal judge. At least I hope it doesn't. And the whole lame "they didn't realize it was illegal" tack they're taking doesn't even make sense. Ignorance of the law has NEVER been an acceptable defense.

When are these jerks going to man up and accept personal responsibility? Oh, yeah, that's right--they're republicans.
