Welcome Back David Plouffe
Since the Plouffe returned, Obama has found his game. There was that "I will fight for you" speech in Ohio. The SOTU, and today's event. Plouffe is getting Obama to throw his fastball and stop nibbling on the corners. Today, Obama threw his fastball for strikes across the plate, and the Republicans could not handle the heat. Obama was throwing in the high 90s, and all the Republicans could do was strikeout or pop-up.

3. I was thinking today it was David
I knew they pulled him back in after MASS election and I thought he is the reason that Obama is changing, he is finally having the right person whispering in his ear.

9. During the campaign I was almost most impressed ...
by Plouffe ...

He just seemed to be the anti-Rove in that he was the brains behind the operation, but he flat out is a good guy ...

14. I Used The Analogy of the Pitching Coach
to illustrate the point that it's really the talent of the pitcher not the coaching. However, a good pitching coach instills confidence in the pitcher to believe in his talent.

I think that Plouffe can get Obama to believe in his talent and throw his fastball more.

13. If he's the one making the difference, more power to him.
May he stick around from now on and never go away.

This is what we need: the iron fist concealed in the velvet glove. The guy who can make average Americans look at him and think "What he wants isn't unreasonable. All he wants is for these other guys to help move things ahead--but they won't. What jerks they are."

Now what we need is the other side of the equation: the guy who herds the cats of his own party and gets them to grow a pair--be it the male or female type of pair--and push ahead for what they want because they're the majority and people elected them to do it, dammit.
