President Obama will do another Q&A - This time with Democrats
holy shit...

Less than a week after his electrifying parley with House Republicans, President Obama will be doing another televised question-and-answer session tomorrow morning -- this one with the Senate Democratic Caucus.

Staffers from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office and White House aides tell the Huffington Post that the president will meet with the caucus at the Newseum, where the senators will be assembled for an issues conference to discuss policy, strategy and message for the coming year.

White House advisers were thrilled with Obama's defiant, substantive and engaging dialogue at a House Republican retreat last Friday; tough and sometimes misleading questions seemed to bring the best out in him.

Reid's office tells the Huffington Post that camera crews will record Obama's remarks tomorrow -- and will be allowed to continue rolling once the questions start coming.

4. Would very much like to see a progressive ask him just what is so wrong with Single Payer?
Why is SP the one policy that is simply off the table?

Because progressives don't play.

5. Can he ask Max Baucus why it is that he is such an asshole?
Hey, I can dream, can't I.
I also hope Sherrod Brown gets a question. Intelligent guy, on the side of liberals/progressives.

deal with the ongoing lack of cooperation from Republicans. "Play nice" isn't getting them shit. I have nothing against honest, open debate but they need to be realistic. It's abundantly clear that they aren't going to get any Republican votes for anything, so they need to toughen up and figure out the best way to proceed without that. And they need to stop acting like the bully's gonna take their lunch money if they don't suck up. That approach isn't doing the Democratic party or the country any good.

15. And then on Thursday he'll be answering questions from people like us online:
"On February 4th, 2010, at 5:45 p.m. Eastern Time, Organizing for America will host a conversation with President Obama.

The President will speak to grassroots supporters like you and answer your questions about our plan going forward."

20. It will be televised by C-Span2 at 10AM ET tomorrow.
Obama will speak to the 60-member Senate Democratic Caucus on Wednesday morning during their retreat at the Newseum here in D.C.

The speech will be followed by a question-and-answer period, which will be televised, as was Obama's Q&A with House Republicans at their retreat last Friday. The nonpartisan political network C-SPAN announced the session would be televised in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon:

Watch C-SPAN 2 LIVE at 10am Weds as President Obama addresses and takes questions from Senate Democrats at their retreat in DC.

Some Democrats in the Senate need a good scolding/spanking (I'm looking at you, Evan!) and he needs to give the cowardly Democrats the courage that I'm sure they've always had (but just haven't used much).

25. Everyone would be wise not to get their hopes up...
..... this will be a very controlled meeting with "only a few questions asked." It's not going to be as candid as we saw last week.

For the President to show that the GOP are a bunch of fools is a GOOD thing ... to show "intra-party squabbles" only shows the swing voters that we're as week and divided as the GOP is.
