Hey MSM and Repubs.-Congress does NOT want to pass the HCR bill through reconciliation!
Edited on Thu Feb-25-10 10:06 PM by jenmito
They want to pass the small "corrections" through reconciliation. They already passed the bill in the House and Senate (with 60 in the Senate) and now the House will pass the Senate bill. Get it right!

ETA-MSNBC surprisingly just repeated what I said-that reconciliation is NOT going to be used to pass the bill, but to pass the "fixes." But of course, the Dems. didn't make this clear today.

6. Is it true that senators Obama, Reid & Clinton were against
reconciliation process 3 years ago? That is what senator Alexander said at the meeting today.

12. I don't know, but that's not the point of my OP. The point is that they're lying about the Dems.
trying to "ram this bill down our throats through reconciliation." Dems. already passed this bill in the Senate with 60 votes. The reconciliation would only be used for the "fix."

10. Exactly. But the MSM can't handle the coverage of this health care bill because it
is over their heads.

13. I'm not sure it's "over their heads" as much as not part of the narrative they want to portray.
If Chuck Todd understands this, I don't see why the others can't/don't.

14. LOL. True. Chuckie Todd is not the brightest bulb.
I think they just don't want to make any attempt to help people understand.

15. They even had a "fact-checking" segment today with Norah O'Donnell and she
only pointed out that reconciliation HAS been used for big things before (contrary to Repubs.' claims that it hasn't) but she didn't clarify that this would only be used for the "fix" and NOT for the HCR bill.
