Chuck TOdd: They don't have the votes to pass a public option
The guy is a tool, but he was on point on Morning Joe. They asked him why the dems just want put in something that's popular like a public option or medicare buy in and someone finally said they just don't have the vote.

Even if this thing passes(Which is still a stretch), I'm still going to have a lot of problems with this party. They really need to clean house. We don't need republicans w/ Ds by their name.

6. That Would Be Obstructing Obama
Reid might not want to obstruct Obama's anti-public option agenda.

9. Strange; we allegedly had the votes in December. Once the mythical protection
of "we need 60 and we don't have 60" evaporated, so did some of the votes we allegedly had. Or did they?

12. No dice. They can open up Medicare through the same process today
but they have no intention of setting up a new public plan because they will attempt to use this legislation to end the ones we have now.

Medicaid and Medicare will be rolled into this piece of crap at the end of the deficit reduction process, supposedly to "save" them.
