It has to be credible, and there were never a credible amount of votes for it. We all knew that. We hardly had 50+ for the public option and ultimately not enough to break a filibuster for it.

5. I never gave up. I'm hoping my health care plan or new

options stay about as good and affordable as I have now. I do know that with the status quo, that was not going to be the case.
This year the cost to my employer went up and they ate the increase. I don't expect them to be able to do that again.
The "leave my health care alone" crowd doesn't get it. It's not being left alone and we can't afford to wait till it gets so bad that even those idiots figure it out.
