been so willing to go along and spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, spend billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion, upon billion...... on bloodshed that most of the country doesn't comprehend as being most of the reason we're in the shitter.
(and those billions above are just 10% of the money spent on these wars - which is now over 1.05 TRILLION DOLLARS! Um, could that be part of the problem that we are unable to pay for so many of the things that were around 10 years ago?)
and then we watch, after all those billions are wasted on bombs that accidentally kill numerous families targeting those huge armies of terrorists, as tens of millions of Americans suffer slowly worsening health (like me and most of the people I know), or painful deaths due to little or NO health care, and millions of school children have to forgo something we had when we were in school, or watch as their school is outright closed, and they get shipped off somewhere further away, or even wonder how much they can personally give to help starving residents while still being able to feed ourselves?
All of the Repubs and most of the Democrats in Congress do not get it. They're going to bed tonight with health care, a fat check and retirement funds on their minds. And many have been proven to be corruptible.
In turn, many of those working in the White House with access to limitless health care, security, fancy foods and guaranteed riches after their time there is done - do not get it anymore (or never did get it).
I sometimes feel President Obama gets it, but is surrounded by completely selfish swine, and a handful of morons cloaked in a degree. Which, of course, makes many people question him. I am inundated where I live with negative talk about the president, some are even blatantly racist, and I continue, barely, stating I believe he is a decent human being and his capitulations are hopefully going to result in something other than continued warfare and watered down bills that seem to be lacking a leader's touch to have made them something of power and merit.
But, with so much suffering in this country, to continue this wayward path that doesn't seem to lead to solving these problems we have that makes wealthy those who are involved in the Military Industrial Complex, Big Oil, Big Pharma, Wall Street, the fat cat bankers, and the Health Insurance industry, just seems like the actions of a bunch of arrogant aristocrats and not people who care about the people enough to just say "Enough BS, let's put the people first".
For so many, it just seems the whole point of government is to get dressed up and toast each other's greatness like they're at the Oscars. They deserve a shit load of Razzies!
Thanks for writing your OP's, everyone, I enjoy reading them, but I am so disgusted with how uncaring most of those in D.C. are, that it's hard to even put into words my disgust.
The Republican Party may have made a big mistake by stating that they think very little of those that donate to them - but, sometimes a Power Point presentation isn't necessary to get the point across, now is it?
