Yup, Starbucks is aggressive, but it also unionizes its workers, provides them with health insurance, and a functional starting salary. I've never met a worker that was unhappy there.

Don't blanket all insurance companies as irresponsible. Many are, some are not, and people have the right to make informed decisions.

I'm happy with my insurance - its private and it treats me well. Heck, AETNA even covered elective Rx! I paid $5 when I was a college instructor.

Once you get the foundation in place ... we can start to work on a wide variety of additional aspects that folks call for, medicare age changes, etc ... those get easier to do with the foundation in place.

House and Senate leaders will not allow any amendments to the reconciliation bill when it is unveiled. They are under orders from White House to make sure there is no public option on the bill.

Obama bargained the public option away last summer.
