Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman, a candidate for the Republican nomination for governor of California, had an awkward encounter with the press Tuesday: Inviting reporters to an appearance she was making at a railroad facility, then not letting them ask any questions, and finally having security escort the media out after they persisted.
After the press were sent out, Whitman's security then put up shades to block the view of the room, so that pictures could not be taken.
Here is a video from the San Francisco Chronicle, of Whitman press secretary Sarah Pompei telling reporters that Whitman would not be taking questions. She did, however, offer to help the reporters gather B-roll video of Whitman's visit.
