Re: the health care bill and people's opinions that it will pass, this morning on Morning Joe Lawrence O'Donnell said: "Where we are right now legislatively is, there are runners on first and second, and you (the people saying the bill will pass) are absolutely confidently predicting on the next pitch they will get a triple play."

And later he added, "Now, we've all seen Doug Flutie with one second left on the clock throw the 90 yard pass, it's an unbelievable long-shot."

He claimed they "all" know this, too, including Axelrod, Gibbs, etc.

He said at the end, "The odds will be against its passage until you see it get more than half-way through the Senate in reconciliation," and he knows all this because it failed under Clinton when HE was right there watching it all.

He REALLY has to stop living in the past thinking we're at the same stage now as they were back then when it died. :eyes:
