Timing for tomorrow's votes

From the House Democratic Caucus meeting, this from House Democratic Caucus Chairman John Larson (D-CT). He says "shortly after 2, we will have an hour of debate on the rule." This is the rule to allow reconcilation to get to the floor.

They would then vote on the rule, sans deem and pass. He then says there will then be "two hours of debate on the bill."

Larson did not elude to passing the Senate bill later. But he did say they would do this "in the light of day."

In conclusion, Larson added that the Senate bill "will become law tomorrow evening with the president's signature."

We'll be here through the day with all the latest health care reform developments. The House convenes at 1 p.m. ET, and Democrats are expecting the actual vote to come between 6 and 10 p.m. ET.

As described yesterday by Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), the House will debate for two hours the reconciliation package, a.k.a., the "fix" to the Senate bill. Following the vote on the reconciliation bill, they will then vote on the Senate bill.

3. That's about what's in the OP. Convene at 2, chit chat for an hour,

2 hours of debate (so figure 3 or 4!), and then it's already 6ish pm. Glad you'll be around to hopefully see history made.

4. And it goes w/out saying that if the Recon. bill passes, the Senate bill will too....

5. Except the new Paygo rule apparently requires the Senate bill to be voted on first...
