Those who don't know the history of it, look it up to appreciate the reference.

1. Great analogy!
I know this cast, but not Blucher.

The rest I know, and this fits!

2. Blucher appeared on Napoleon's flank as he was making headway against
Wellington, who sat in a defensive position and was the decisive element in the battle in defeating Napoleon. Pelosi filled that role.

7. In a totally urelated vein...
I just found an entry for Frau Blucher at Snopes, debunking an old rumor that 'blucher' means 'glue' in German, hence the horses whinnying in fright at the mention of her name.

16. Napoleon was a villain of a very high order.
Those wars killed a number of people so great that, were it not for the two world wars, we would look upon him as a Hitler-type character.

He was a craven expansionist whose actions resulted in the deaths of millions with no positive outcomes to show for it. If you are going to go on about the Napoleonic Code, that's a debate I welcome.

Also, one million civilians did die during his wars, if you had bothered to look it up.
